• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Figured I would post this on here too!

*Does not work with Tacomas with high clearance rear bumpers ?‍♀️

Idk if this has been said/ found before, but make sure you clean behind your plastics! I hate when auto manufacturers stick plastic on for show. Mine was already messed up from body work to the bed so I ripped the other side of (never been touched before) all the dirt I’ve been through is still hanging on... future rust spot, removed.

**takes 10mm socket, pinch two tabs underneath. Remove 1 bolt on each side, squeeze tabs (2) remove. May be residue from the factory double sided tape**

While this doesn't apply to my truck anymore, this is really good info to know about, especially when I move back to the Northeast. Trucks there are rotting alive and I definitely wouldn't want to see that happening to someone's newish Tacoma because of this plastic.
