Had a free five days, spent it in the Ozarks. Good times. Did some hiking with the family, as well as some off roading. Creeks were high, couldn't cross a few, but we found some lovely places. First time visiting. Will be back.

You've got plenty to see on the west coast that's not dry and brown. Check out Northern California and the redwood national and state forests, and then mount shasta is a great edge of the tree line location (with lots of fun trails and campsites). Oregon and Washington are temperate rainforests on the coast.

I'm down for a trip to Yosemite national park swing by the redwoods for 2nd time . I've lived in Washington state my whole life of 35 yrs and I'm still finding new spots
