• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Hello everyone. I’ve been a member of TacomaWorld for a while and recently discovered this forum. I drive a 2018 TRD Sport V6 Access Cab in a manual transmission. Before buying this truck I had been driving an ‘01 Tacoma in the same color. This new guy is the first vehicle I’ve spent a lot of time and $ modding and I love where it’s at so far.
My setup:
-Fox 2.5 extended travel coilovers w/ resi & adjusters
-SPC UCAs
-Fox 2.0 shocks w/ resi & adjusters
-OME Dakar leaf pack
-Kustom 54 Lighting AB6 HID Headlights
-Diode Dynamic Pro SAE fogs (selective yellow)
-RCI Rock Sliders
-TRD SEMA wheels (black)
-BFG AT KO2s (265/75/17)
-TRD Catback Exhaust
-MESO Customs Stage 1 Tail Lights
-OEM TRD Front Skid Plate

Soon to be installed:
-UpTOP Overland Alpha Rack w/ 40” BD OnX6 & 4x BD Rock Lights (pictured below)
-Total Chaos Bed Stiffeners
-ARE V-Series or CX Evolve camper shell

Mid-Long Term Mods:
-Full Aluminum Skids
-SSO Full plate bumper (state 1 & 2) w/ 20” BD S8 lightbar & 9K winch
-4.88 Nitro gears
-BFG KO2s in 33s

Finally got around to installing the UpTOP roof rack. The install on an access cab was challenging but it worked out okay. Super pleased with the product and the customer service is second to none. 10/10 would recommend to anyone willing to spend the coin.

Did it require you to drill holes
It did. Drill holes -> riv nuts -> punched small holes in rubber drip rail strip ->plenty of silicone -> fasten to the roof.
