Ok. Anyone know if the MID screen messages can be suppressed?

Like, yesterday I was adjusting my tire pressure and using the MID screen to view my tiee pressures. Every three seconds it kept being obscured by "Hood is ajar" and "key not detected" messages... I'd hit the return key monitor my pressure for three more seconds and it would get obscured again by the messages that I already dismissed.

Anyone know if this behavior can be suppressed in any way?

I figure that once I have seen and dismissed the message, I *really* do not need, nor want, to see it again and I rally get sick of my MID being obscured by shit that I know and/or don't care about... like, I freaking KNOW that the "radar is ready" when I engage my damned adaptive cruise control... why keep telling me?!?!?
