• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Looks like Tacos will no longer be made in Texas

Interesting. Serious question: Does it make any difference? I think I have a Mexico vin anyway.

I doubt it makes a difference. I’m sure Toyota has strict procedures in place.

The window sticker on my ‘18 said assembled in Mexico. Kind of makes me wonder if any drugs were hidden in it when it came into the US. ?

Yes it does, if you get a Texas truck it's cheaper. I researched it before buying mine. Mine is loaded and saved $2k which retailed for $41k compared to a Mexican truck @ $43k just because it didn't have to cross the border.

I'd be interested in seeing that research.

You're going to have to visit your dealerships on Sundays, I found a dealership with Texas Tacomas and another one with Mexicans Tacomas is how my research began. It's not a documented research but a visual one. You will notice the difference instantly just by observing the retail price.
