Back in Jan this year I posted thread asking if anyone has a line on an after market roof grab handle for the passenger side for 3rd gen Tacos. My wife who is barely 5' tall rely on handles at A pillar and roof while standing on running board and ease herself into cabin/seat ( that is with our '05 4R ). Without this roof grab handle, its always a bit of a challenge for her ( we are both in our mid 70's and agility in not our middle name, lol ) to enter/exit our '21 Taco TRD OR DC SB.
Came to the conclusion that the OEM Toyota running board installed by dealership just under the rocker panel, elevated her higher thus requiring strong leg muscles to lower herself onto seat. Solution: we ditched the OEM boards and replaced them with a set with dedicated steps that are about 4" lower Worked out great for us and wife is now a happy camper.
