Long story short:
I bought a brand new 18 TRD OR, traded it for a 2020 Sierra (which was a massive piece of shit and broke down on a move across country), sold that, and then bought a VW GTI.
The GTI was fun, but I was tired of driving a manual, especially waiting in line to get on base. Sold it to Carvana and had positive equity (!)
Yesterday I scooped up a 20 SR5 SX w/ 32k miles (one owner)... and now I have to learn how to drive a Tacoma again.
Try not to get too upset if I post dumb questions about the truck.
