Hello,
I bought a 2016 Toyota Tacoma from the US and shipped it to Germany. The car was damaged on the roof, and only the curtain airbags were deployed along with the seatbelts being locked.
I tried to start the car after connecting the battery correctly. The car receives power: the dashboard and the infotainment screen turn on, showing that the doors are open. The exterior lights also work.
However, the key does not work. The key fob lights up red, but there is no reaction. When I press the start button, nothing happens — not even the first ignition stage (ACC/ON). The system does not even show any message that the key is not detected.
Could it be that the immobilizer system has locked the car, or do I need to reprogram all the electronic modules?
