• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Super easy.

Get a small carabiner, hook in middle of chain where lowest point, twist until slack is gone, hook to wheel hole where stud goes. Fits perfect, keeps chain out of sight.

Removed it completely as the spare wont fit there anymore after over-sizing tires from stock. Any ideas on what to fill the void of space with? Hidden tool box, air tank, larger gas tank? Seems like some wasted space now that the spare is on the back bumper!

There are DIY's on TacomaWorld showing how to get an oversized spare in the stock location.

There is also a new gas can (similar to rotopax) that will mount in the spare tire spot. Can't think of the company's name right now.
