I’m looking to add a GMRS Radio. The 2 I have in mind are the Midland MXT500 or the Midland MTX575.
1. Do you want a screen on the control unit, or is having it all on the mic work just fine?
2. Mounting? I have room on my expedition essentials dash mount thing for the 500 control head, or I thought of remotely mounting the control unit of the 575 in the glove box or behind the dash and using a switch blank to plug the mic in. I don’t have room on the center counsel. I have one of the Rago bridges (which is awesome) but it’s full up of other things I’d rather not move.
