So, been busy as usual. Done a few more mods to the truck over the past couple months. The latest was a chore. Cleaned up the engine bay wiring for better access to the fuse panel, took me damn near 10 hours of straight work. Also, mounted some lights behind the grill for less washout in dust and fog, upgraded the scoop light, scored a color core Mountain Hatch, installed a USB charging port in the overhead console to charge my GoPro, and got an Outer Limit Supply 1st aid kit mounted to the bed rack. Put a couple more universal mount panels on the Leitner rack today as well. Next up is a RTT.

Recently added a Renogy 100w solar panel and Voyager charge controller. Had to remove the Prinsu and modify the Z brackets from Renogy to get it all mounted. Opted for 10ga prefabbed cables, also from Renogy. Had a spare power tray (because I bought the wrong one initially) that I modified slightly to fit the right side, and cut a piece of 1/8" ABS to fit the space better. All in all it was a 2 day process, first day mostly fab of tray and fumbling around trying to bolt the panel on without removing the Prinsu.

I have the charge controller connected directly to my aux battery. Operating with the Genesis system once the aux battery is charged it switches over to top off the start battery. Really liking the system, and it's given me 100% piece of mind that I'll always have at least one fully charged battery at all times. Having the solar on the aux battery makes sure if I ever drain my start battery, a simple press of Genesis's boost button links it all to jump start the truck.

P.s. While I was up on the roof I stacked a set of 4 Rototrax. Not as slim as Maxtrax, but pretty solid build like all their other stuff.

Thanks! I love the Prinsu! Super solid, and the customer service from CBI is top notch. I've snapped off screws on the rack a couple times (they used to be aluminum) and they sent me new hardware no cost. This last time they sent me a complete set, again zero cost. I've used it many times to haul lumber and such. Makes use of otherwise wasted space. On the flip, it does increase wind noise over the cab, and makes it difficult to wash the roof. However, these are not deal breakers for me. Hope that helps.

COVID boredom. Stuck at home on a travel restriction since March... Sitting here like, "Say when..." They finally opened it up a bit, but it came just before the mega heatwave of 2020. So, we sit some more until... Oh, now the entire country is burning. Awesome!
