• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What’s easier, mounting the way you have it, or if you had a longbed, mounting with the front tire still on? I have a long bed but I usually just lay them down on the side of the bed wall.
I prefer mounting this way just for the fact of how much room is left in the box , I could fit a huge cooler up front under where the tires would be, can fit 3 bikes across with 29" wheels , can probly fit a few bikes over the gate as well and lots of room for a gear bag

Favorite mod by far is the front bed rail from the 2nd gen. I modified some Thule fork mounts so that I can have a few bikes mounted and will be running a low RTT bar from Kore 4x4 through the bike triangles to lock the bikes into the bed when I stop somewhere.
