At one point or another I did see engine bay protectors that mounted in wheel wells to keep debris
from getting into engine bay.
My question to those who have used them:
1) Do they really help
2) Do they compromise anything mechanical wise
3) What exactly are they called and where can I find them

Terrain I run in is muddy snowy corn stock flingin terrain.

Thanks for all opinions

They should come stock on your truck to begin with. But there are companies that make better/larger ones that provide more protection.

My experience after 3 years of the truck...yeah, they help keep a lot out of the engine bay.
No, theres no hinderence of anything mechanical
They are called "Engine Bay Splash guards"

Here is the best set of aftermarket ones:

You can also make your own from 1/16 neoprene rubber for the DIY'ers in the group (Thats what I did, cost $30 total).

Toyata did leave a heck of a gap on the interior portion of wheel well and I definitly can envision
a stick or something getting pushed up there and damaging something .
I do like your recommendation Jeremy Thanks.
