1️⃣ Getting Started...
New to posting, not new to the forum. I have read so many threads to get inspiration from this forum, so thanks to everyone!
Reason for this post, long story short, looking for any feedback on the dirt king +3.5 long travel and/or the JD fab +4. Looking to do 1 of them on my 2016. Background, I initially put a drop bracket kit on the truck, not understanding what that entailed initially. I know I know... So now, I believe I have optimized the suspension with what I had done to it and want to get more. I plan on removing the drop bracket kit, getting the frame restored, and going with a long travel kit. Any and all feedback is appreciated!
Typical off road tends to be fire roads, trails (mild/moderate), some rougher terrain but nothing serious like crawling or really the desert stuff. Love the thought that if I NEED the suspension to get through something I have it. This is also not a daily driver and is my toy truck now.
If I go DK, I plan to also use their CV. If i go with JD, I plan on using theirs. Doing all the upgrade support like spindle gussets, alignment tabs, UCA double shear.
The rear of the truck currently has OME HD springs and a 1.5" block. Planning on also going with hangers w/cross support, shock relocation, and king shocks all around. Would love to keep the height tit currently has but I understand most likely I will be ditching the block entirely.
Anyways, eat this up and my thoughts on moving forward. Poke holes and help me make the best decision moving forward!
