• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

December RotM is sponsored by @Tyler & @Paige of The Wandering Winterfields

December is a themed month. The theme is "Fun in the Sun". Photos should be in bright sunlight, at the beach, in the desert, by water, or anything else that suggests summertime activities. No snowy or wintery scenery this T3G Holiday Season!

I can't believe we are almost at the end already! RotM was an idea I had at the end of 2019 and to be honest, I wasn't sure if I would be consistent enough to keep up with it. But here we are, just two more contests to go. I have really enjoyed doing this and seeing you guys participate over and over.

To thank you guys for participating, using the forum in general, and being patient with me when I'm around less due to real life issues, we want to self-sponsor this one out of pocket. Instead of an Amazon gift card which is the normal prize when RotM isn't sponsored, I want to spice things up a bit.

The prize for December will be a $150 purchase of any Tacoma or camping item(s) you want, from any vendor you want. The only stipulation is that the item(s) should be for your own truck and I would love to see photos of what you got posted here on the forum! If you want to go a little over $150 you can just pay me the difference. Happy Holidays!

There are a few changes to RotM for November and December 2020. To put it simply, members with 40 or more posts on their forum account who have submitted to a previous RotM in 2020 and never won will receive 3 bonus votes for their November and December entries. Full explanation in this thread: Rig of the Month will be a little different for the remainder of 2020 (Good news!)

Tell your friends! ;)

How does it work?
  • From the 26th to the 29th of November, you can post one of your best photos of your truck to this thread (that fits the theme), which will become your submission.
    • On the 29th of November, I will move all submissions to the voting thread, and voting will commence.
    • On the 3rd of December, the voting thread will close and go into a review phase.
  • During the review phase, I will go through each submission, noting how many votes they received, and I will verify that the user with the most amount of votes is eligible to win according to the rules in this thread.
    • In the event the user who submitted the photo with the most votes is not eligible, I will move to the runner up, and so on.
    • In the event that there are multiple submissions with the same amount of votes at the end of the final voting period, a random winner will be chosen via a random number generator.
  • You can 'like' the photos in this thread if you want to, but they will not count as votes; this is only the submission thread.
What does the winner receive?
  • **Please read the green text above to learn about the $150 prize.**
  • A photo of your truck in the sidebar of the forum for the duration of the following month (same location you see the forum statistics block)
  • A badge under your username in your posts stating that you are a RotM winner (same location you see "Badministrator" in my posts)
  • A nice shout-out on the T3G Instagram
  • An entry into our Rig of the Year contest!
    • A free copy of our 2021 Rig of the Month calendar!
Submission Rules
  • YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 POSTS ON YOUR ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT A PHOTO.
    • (If you're unable to reply to this thread, it's because you don't have the ten posts yet.) However, if you are a "T3G Supporter" (purchased a patch or sticker previously), you may bypass the minimum post count restriction.
  • Please submit photos that are of high quality and not edited in Photoshop to add a fake background, text, or other graphics to the image. However, you may edit your photo to adjust lighting, color, shadows, etc.
    • Adding a link to your build thread, if you have one, is highly encouraged, but not required.
  • You may only submit one photo per month and you will not be able to change the photo you submitted it after it is posted. You may post a different photo in a different month.
  • If you have won this contest previously, you are not eligible to enter again until the sixth month after the last time you won. (e.g. If you won in January, you may not enter again until July.)
    • The forum staff and our authorized vendors are not eligible to enter this contest.
  • All photos must comply with the Tacoma3G.com Forum Guidelines.
    • Specifically, this means no political, religious, or NSFW content should be visible in your photo.

Once you have read everything above, PLEASE 'LIKE' THIS POST SO I KNOW YOU READ IT, then post your photo. Good luck and have fun!

Sneaky sneaky! All of my most recents are fall/winter vibe. Gotta dig through the vault for this one! Dessert runner!

I don't know if the graininess of the photo is intentional but I think it makes the whole photo and vibe look really cool.

Thanks! My camera has very small pixels and naturally introduces a bit of noise into low light shots - adding pretty grain is a good way to adapt to that limitation ;)
