Howdy everybody!

My name is Adam and I've got a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-road 4x4. You may find me on Instagram @ blue_yota.al if you are so inclined. I got my truck in December of 2020 and I have zero regrets.

Current State:
Next Steps:
Next steps include new front & rear bumpers as well as a suspension lift. I am actually seeking advice on the suspension lift - I have no idea where to begin. I do know I want to achieve greater clearance for larger tires and I want a more pre-runner-like suspension for killing whoops, but that's all I've got going so far.

P.S. A Prius can do pretty significant damage to these trucks...mine is in the shop for the next 6-7 weeks for a frame swap after a collision.

When you say pre-runner-like suspension are you going with extended LCA's and all?
That’s a good question and if I understand it correctly, the answer is no. I don’t want to make the truck any wider (even just at the wheels). I’m simply looking for a suspension that’s mostly in the middle between “strictly rock crawling” and “full baha”, where I’m just leaning towards “full baha”.

Something I took into consideration was the performance shocks need rebuild every so often. Some brands leak sooner or more often than others.
Harder use requires a more frequent rebuild. Some people get lucky and it seems like most don't.

Hello and welcome to Tacoma3g!

That’s a hard hit! Good thing it’s fixable though. Get yourself a good steel bumper out of the deal and youll be set
