Hey guys,
Planning a trip to glacier for late May. Need an overlanding camping site in between badlands SD and Kalispell MT. Lots of national forests in western MT, hoping for some local perspective.

any suggestions?

@Biohazard, My back yard is half way. JK. You can't go wrong with the Red Lodge area with tons of dispersed camping and you can take the Beartooth Hwy into Yellowstone N.P and out the North entrance (Gardner) up into Livingston and over to Helena and then into Glacier and out the Kalispell Gate.

One of my favorite places is Glacier Lake, right on the border of WY and MT. Custer-Gallatin National Forrest with lots of dispersed camping.
Depends on what route you take, but I wouldn't miss out on the Big Horn's in WY. They are stunning. Cloud Peak is massive and nobody is there.

@406Camper where'd you get that bar on the front of your truck? That's exactly what I'm looking for cause I have the lightbar from Caliraised under the grille but can only find ones that cover it a little yours doesn't seem to cover that little area at all

@Biohazard, Another great spot in MT to consider visiting on your route.
Pipestone/Ringing Rocks.
