Hey I have a 2020 TRD OR and the engine shuts off after 30 mins or so if just left idling. I am sure it is some “safety” feature. I tried to get the dealer to shut it off but no luck. Anyone get a different answer from their dealer? Any work around?

Hmmm. That is weird. I've idled mine for well over an hour.
Never heard of it before either but a quick google search shows it’s a feature for the 2020 lineup with the push button start.
Lucky me! It is a real bummer when I am trying to recharge my battery box on long trips.

Do you use this? What kind of charging time are we talking?
I use it for charging my Jackery 500. I usually charge at 78 plugged in at home, I was pulling 64 in the sun.
Do you have remote start? If so, will it let you restart it after it shuts off automatically? Not the best workaround but it's all I can think of. Unless one of the tuning programs can edit the shutdown timer, but I have no experience with that stuff.

i idled mine for a few hours to charge some batteries on a camping trip last weekend. it didn't shut off. 2021 SR

I guess it only happens with us fancy push button start guys.

Mine shuts down too. 2022 TRD pro. I travel with dogs constantly and sometimes have to leave them in the truck while going inside for food or other things and can’t leave it running with the ac or heat on for the dogs. It’s frustrating.
