• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Are the worth it?

Never tried one of these before...would it be worth my month to put one in my 2020 TRD Off Road?

personally I say they aren't worth it especially if you offroad because an open air box isn't a great idea for the trails. If you're into the aesthetics and a little bit of noise I would say go for it.

Really only good for some extra growl under the hood

I usually just get the drop in K&N filters. Not for performance gains, it keeps maintenance simple. Clean out debris every oil change, clean and re-oil once a year.

Same! I’m not even sure how much better these are than the OEM ones. But I like to pay the big bucks and use them anyway.

No, total waste of money unless your "charged" turbo/super

I have a K&N only because I don't like buying filters
