I had someone comment on my youtube channel a few months ago it was happening but people thought he was making fake news.

Yeah, honestly I'm more irritated at the lack of Android Auto (here's hoping for adding backwards compatibility). But the thing is there is no technical or practical reason that these upgrades couldn't have all been on the Gen3 from day 1. It feels like the only reason they are doing it now is due to all the increased competition in the mid-size truck market in the past year. Like they were holding back in 2016 because they new they needed some flash in a few years. Ya know?

Agreed. The Android Auto is the only thing that really excites me about the updates.

All auto manufacturers do this to some extent
