• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

OVTune VF Tuner | OVTune - Tacoma ECU flash tune options and feedback

Just putting in another vote for KDmax. Currently running the stock 265s on stock rims for my TRD off-road short bed, double cab, with 5.29 re-gear. Running 87 octane. Buttery smooth. No more hard shifts, or lurching. Was running the OV tune, but Paul hooked me up with the KDMAX in Portland, OR...

Thank you so much for the info! That helps my decision making a great deal. I'm still planning on the OEM TRD lift. Mudflaps? We don't need no stinking mudflaps!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

OVTune VF Tuner | OVTune - Tacoma ECU flash tune options and feedback

I have the OV tune on mine, but still felt the need to re-gear. Went with 5.29 re-gear. Truck runs like it should, but I am going to try the KD to smooth it out a bit since the OV tune was for the stock gears, and it's a bit abrupt down low like a light switch. Still running 265s but thinking...

    TRD lift kit question

Can I run 33's with the TRD lift kit? I know it's only 2 inches in the front. 33's are as big as I want to go. It's my daily driver, but I am a weekend off-road/Backcountry camping enthusiast. Not looking for a Moab rock crawler. Just want to be able to get most places in Washington, Oregon, and...
