• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

    Essential Camping Equipment

An EZ-up awning, it’s the first thing out when setting up camp. The awning Is used more than the tent or chairs. The awning is important in sunny weather or as protection from bad weather. After using it a bit it will loosen up and can easily be set up or stowed by one person.

    Drones!

That picture is a screen shot of a video from Lake Silverwood Cal. i almost purchased the higher end DJI Mavic as it has even more features but the Spark’s compact carry case sold me. I am able to carry this kit on my m/c and this was more important than even more features. I also like that the...

    KP’s dirt bike hauler

I added a bed cover that folds up against the cab but I can’t mash m/c tires against it (what kinda hauler is that?) so I fabbed up a bed rail. ‘There are some nice rails available $$ but they are meant to mount the front of the bed and I needed it mounted about 8” back to stay off the cover...

    Drones!

I bought the DJI Spark after seeing the optional charger carry case available. The case holds the charger which carries the drone and 2 spare batts. and the controller, really compact. The drone has gps and does all kinds of tricks like fly a course, gesture control and follow. Very easy to...

    KP’s dirt bike hauler

Thanks for the welcome and your work on this forum, much higher signal to noise ratio. I’ve used a bottle jack before and was glad to have it, but going forward I wanna jack with a big long handle so I don’t have to crawl under (again)

    KP’s dirt bike hauler

Thanks for the welcome, seems like a great forum for the Tacoma. Off roading the truck is good to go but I didn’t see anywhere to use a hi-lift jack with the plastic bumpers. So my first mods were a floor jack and shovel. I can use my m/c ramp for a traction board too. I made up a J hook to...

    KP’s dirt bike hauler

Replaced my 2002 Tundra with a new Tacoma and will use for M/C hauling. That was till I went 4 wheeling and discovered how well it works off road. Just as capable as my Jeep but waaaay less tiring to drive. I can foresee less riding and more 4 wheeling. Here is the truck box stock as delivered.

I’m watching this post as I want to see clean RD installs too. I don’t drive fast but have a V1 that I swap between motor home and motorcycle. Okay a little fast on the bike but in the motor home it is great sniffing out those local speed traps. The dramatic speed drops on major hwys. going...
