Lots of flat top semis and 1 tons have big wings to help pulling big trailers. You dont need that but something small might help ya break the bold face front.
Curious, have you considered doing a "wing" on top of your roof rack to aid in air flow over the camper. a gradual slope up to the increased height vs the blunt face would definitely help on the highway. Might be worth a test to see if you can gain a mile or two back per.
I snuck in quite the fucking ugly one on that upper link. Thinking itll get cut out and redone. Then once everything is set and burned ill likely just steel it everything
Did some test cycling tonight with the new upper link and the track bar tacked in. I took the frame side bracket and welded it to a much larger plate that I will be welding to the frame. While the joints see a direct load, the bracket will try and twist and turn and pull. So to help fight...
Not at this time. We haven't found anything where ifs is deciding factor. Maybe once that's the case. Until then just beefing up front. It's on coilovers, just need a good steering setup.
Be loooooooooots of testing and everything before that's even an idea. I want to make sure it takes highway, high speed, and wheeling use well. Know where the habits are and what adjustments to make for continued use.
Hopefully we will be on weight come the weekend. Vertical separation axle side is on the low end, but that's why we're running the inch and a quarter joints and I will be bracing the upper mount quite a bit. The leverage will definitely be something I have to keep an eye on, but I needed the...
I less you wheel where undercuts and ledges are real big, you won't get any real gain from the 37s. For most folks it's just more.headache. And looks cool
Would be nice if someone offered the 571 or whatever the 8" rear is offered in for the front. That ratio would really allow 37 to be plausible as a good road tire. Down at sea level or with boost, the 529 would be fine. Just needs a little deeper to be right, imo.
I say don't. Not for the weight you have and traveling around. 35s are best gearing at highway speeds with 529. Can't imagine with weight. Just be patient. Save for a big build and do them once you settle down.
Ahhh!!!!!!!!
Our flag is in. I CAN NOT wait to go pick it up. We wanted a flag for the shop, but not any flag will do. So called in some favors from friends and were able to get this sorted out. Pretty damn kick-ass if I say so. Ahh. So stoked.
Appreciate ya boys
Im not sure ability with the additional size of the tundra rack, id have to look. Otherwise, off top of my head, it could be positioned somehwere in front of the x member and be guarded by the skid, but that would take some modifying to the xmember to allow to fit. But to be honest, i just dont...
