I have mounted mine both ways at different times. I originally did it to the passenger side but now I am adding an awning so I have it mounted to the driver's side so my 270* awning covers the kitchen area in the back.

It’s made out of aluminum. Without the tent it’s about 540lbs. With the tent and rack 700.

Due to all the fires and smoke in the Portland area, we had to cancel the Portland meetup but instead we are doing an Instagram Live on Wednesday 9/16 PST for a virtual tour.

I think the reason for the switch is you only disconnect it when you want to make changes. otherwise you leave it connected so the navigation will work.
Where are you guys mounting aftermarket gauges? i have airlift suspension and am adding a gauge to monitor their pressures but I can't decide on a good location to mount it.
Ya there were tons of cars when we went through South Tahoe. most of them were pretty unexciting but there was a Ford GT and a couple Ferraris that were cool.
While we were camping near Reno this last weekend we did a little time lapse video of taking down our 23zero Breezeway roof top tent. I love how simple it is. It took about 3.5 minutes to complete.
