• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

T3G Feedback and questions about Tacoma3G.com - How can our community and website be better?

Something about the emoticons looks changed. I'm on/off here a lot, so I'm not sure. Is it that they didn't used to say the name next to them? Unless that was a purposeful change.

Early welcome to the super-top-secret lounge for supporting members!

I think you're the only person with a face avatar on here, it's ridiculous, and absolutely everywhere... What a great way to come back after a few busy weeks! Been liking some of the small changes that I see, and excited to see the bigger updates.

Early welcome to the super-top-secret lounge for supporting members!

Bandcamp is the way to go, for me. A lot of the money actually goes to the artist, and I like that I can just convert the FLAC files to MP3s and store it all locally on my phone. Especially good for when I lose service. The other streaming services are pathetic with ads, and don't give the...

SnowRunner - new 4x4 simulation game

My plan really was PC anyway, since I've got a nice laptop. Switch ports are a fascination of mine, since everything seems to get ported there. Most of my time is sunk into Elden Ring at the moment, but this went onto my Steam wishlist so I'll check it out at some point. User created mods...

SnowRunner - new 4x4 simulation game

How does it run on Switch? That thing is so underpowered that is must either cut graphics, or the game has far less physics than I'm seeing from the looks of it

Game Who are you? (Random questions game)

Original link: https://twitter.com/i/status/1040109881469034496 All I think about when I chew gum (or other people chewing food) is The Gang Escapes now. I almost enjoy when people try it in my 2000 4runner. My levels of fuck with that vehicle are in the negatives. Also, I had some very...

Game Who are you? (Random questions game)

RE: Tesla. Do you have one? I'd love to know what you think as somebody that works on his own Tacoma, but can't touch the car. That is my "hate owning one" part, I'm not a fan of having to take it to a dealership for every little thing. Part of me wishes we had to renew licenses for driving...

Game Who are you? (Random questions game)

I haven't had the time to read this site as much as I used to, so I don't post on here all that much, BUT I expect some really interesting answers here. Excited to see the replies. First name: Tony Age: 30 Current location: Pittsburgh, PA Hometown: Summerhill Township, PA Married?: No Kids...

Is Rig of the Month over?

What was wrong with the shirts? Seems like an easy way to make a couple extra bucks. Any time I buy a branded shirt, they just go with the normal Next Level tshirts (which I love and buy blank ones anyway). Was it the logo? The pics you had looked decent, maybe they were worse up close? Seems...

    ACC in the rain

You'd need two cameras for ACC. Toyota doesn't have that kind of detection yet, their camera is only for the lane keeping warnings. I'd hope you'd see far more warnings if they used the camera for ACC. Most car manufacturers aren't using cameras for detection either. Subaru and Tesla are...

    ACC in the rain

I've seen very, very few false positives from radar due to rainfall feedback, and false negatives should NEVER happen from rain. My guess would be that you were driving on some hilly terrain and the radar lost the detection? I had very false positives on my Tacoma either, but I think that was...

    Pennsylvania !

Oh yeah, those are some awful experiences. I think I paid $50 for mine, but that's a really small town mechanic. I never go near dealerships or big name companies for every reason you said. My old 4runner can only be inspected by parent's known mechanics. Seems like every mechanic tries to get...

    Pennsylvania !

Usually go to a place down in Portage, PA called Kick's. My Dad's been using them for years, and they seem to do a good job. Hell if I know, to be honest. But the lift rides nicely after the alignment. What makes you think any of the other's are doing a bad job? Are you just looking at the wear...

    Reference Bilstein 6112 Assembly

I kept the stock ones. They're perfectly fine for what I need. I did add the Wescott Pre-Collar lift, which required compressing them an extra inch or two, and those extra inches turned out to be an incredible amount of force. I was searching around to see how anybody else is doing it, but I...

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Splurged a bit in August. Picked up the Wescott Designs rack and Pre Collar Lift. The lift was a nightmare to put on diy-style, but the roof rack was easy. It all looks awesome finished, though! Just in time for a decent trip down to West Virginia this weekend.
