I left academia 4 years ago, moved cross country to Utah and joined a robotics startup. Now I work in R&D for a niche set of applications in the energy sector. I love backpacking and fishing the high mountain creeks and lakes from Colorado to Montana and every range in between. Favorite authors include A.B. Guthrie, Norman MacLean, Ed Abbey, and Mary Oliver.
