Been a while since I’ve been on here. I ended up mounting my jack recently. Had to drill a couple holes in the jack mount and make 4 larger backing plates for the backside of the molle panel. But it’s mounted perfectly onto the panel in my bed. It’s supported just enough by the bottom of the bed...
Didn't see this till now. Currently the jack is sitting in the bed next to my spare tire. I've seen some people use the existing bed mounting bolts to mount the jack mount to the bed. I may go this route now to keep weight off the bed rails. These jacks aren't light lol. I have to still mock it...
Little update about my fox shocks. After multiple back and forth conversations with my local shop and Accutune, we decided it's best if we send the shocks out to Accutune to be rebuilt again and to have the adjusters repaired. Apparently there is a proprietary fox tool they use when doing this...
I called them today and then went to the shop after work. Their shock builder did admit he missed checking the high speed knobs. They checked pressure in the shocks and verified everything else operated properly. We’re working on a plan to fix it. Most likely need some new internals on both rear...
When you pay a shop to rebuild your shocks. A week later you try to adjust the compression and the knob won’t move. Pulled the knobs and found this… yeah I don’t think they even took the reservoirs apart. Pretty pissed right now seeing that I have a big trip in a couple weeks.
Got my Baja s2’s wired up this weekend. Also installed the molle panel at the head of the bed. Hopefully I can get the pro eagle jack mounted next. Got at least a couple trips coming up so just trying to knock some stuff out. Need to get my bump stops thrown back on next once the mounts are...
Glad you figured out the issue. Sounds like this truck need some good TLC all around. I would grease everything that requires it to start, and double check fluids. Pre modified vehicles can be tricky since you don't know the true history of maintenance. Hope you can enjoy the truck now!
Dude at work asked if I wanted some molle panels for the bed and center console. He gave me every panel Cali raised makes for free, pretty much brand new. Wasn’t going to say no to that lol. He insisted he wanted no money 🤷🏼♂️. Just need to source a little hardware.
Pulled off the bump stop mounts today to give those a good revive while the bumps are being rebuilt. I absolutely hate the corrosion we have to deal with here 🙄. I miss the desert for that aspect. Cleaned up the frame and will clean up and possibly powder coat or just spray paint the mounts.
