• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Thanks, me too. There was a guy on tw that welded his together and made a one piece. It is clean as hell. Wish I went that way. But I’m still happy!

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Finally installed my SSO slimline and stage 2 this past weekend. Very happy with the way it turned out. Install was a lot smoother than expected.

Received the last pieces to my SSO bumper! Sending them off to powder coating on Monday. Looking forward to getting this project done soon.

OVTune VF Tuner | OVTune - Tacoma ECU flash tune options and feedback

It is interesting to hear how others don't like cruise control on these trucks either. I haven't liked cruise control on either Tacoma I've had (2nd gen and 3rd gen). Although, I remember the 2nd gen being better than my current truck. I had a 2004 Silverado before these trucks and that was the...

JerryTaco2.0's 2017 TRD OR4x4 Truck Glamping Build & BS Thread

The joint looks much cleaner than their original teaser pictures. That may eliminate me from wanting to get it welded together in a 1 piece bumper.

That is awesome. Glad you were able to get the bumper and stage 2 kit as well. I can’t wait to get my bumper in and my stage 2 kit.

JerryTaco2.0's 2017 TRD OR4x4 Truck Glamping Build & BS Thread

Sorry to hear that. It's definitely been a frustrating wait. But I've been tracking mine through their website and online chat. I get the occasional vague answer but they've been nice. They told me yesterday that the new release date for stage 2 kit is the end of May since the prototyping ran...

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Kayak season is in full swing and I pick up my new one tomorrow. So my dad an I worked on a little project to help load them a lot easier. I modified a rhino rack pioneer roller to fit between the rails on the prinsu. Added an additional cross bar to keep it sturdy and it turned out great. Gonna...

    I got the BRO lean!

I had the same problem when I installed my 700 lb springs on my 6112s. I added the AAL to the Dakar medium duty pack. This turns it into the "heavy" pack. The front springs settled a bit after a week or so too. With the combo of springs settling and the AAL in the rear pack it fixed the bro...

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Ah ok. I'm gonna have to look into this more. I have the SPC light racing UCA's and the bump steer feels similar to stock still. I may have to swap out UCA's again in the future for something more beefy. I am curious to see the difference in them. Thanks!

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Noob question incoming: How do UCA's affect bump steer? Don't they only control up/down movement? I would have thought it was the factory steering setup that is causing this with the combo of larger/heavier wheels and tires. Some of the roads I drive in town are riddle with potholes. I get bad...

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Looks awesome! I don't think I've seen that rear bumper "in the wild" before. Are the taillight guards a custom touch? Looking forward to seeing it with the front on too.
