Just got my new truck bed air mattress. It fits pretty well in my standard bed. A little bit of a gap over the wheel wells causes a slight bit of a roll to each side. The mattress is 12" thick when inflated. There is 22 1/2" of clearance between the top of the mattress and the lower opening of my A.R.E. topper. There is 24 1/2" of clearance from the top of the air mattress to the inside roof of the topper. I can close the tailgate with no issues, and even still have my recovery boards mounted to the front rail. I had to move my fire extinguisher to the side rail, but no other concerns. Even fits with Total Chaos bed stiffeners without any issues. I threw down a Harbor Freight moving blanket to protect the air mattress from dirt and debris.
Recommendation: Get the corded one (below). I got the battery operated one and it is a pain. Very old school battery takes 8 hours to charge! No light to know when it is charged, and heats up a lot when charging. The corded version comes with a very long cord, so you just plug it in to the cigarette lighter and start inflating (takes about 90 seconds to fully inflate or deflate either one). The Airbedz completely deflates on it's own. And it all easily stows in the bag.
