I made a video with more info and thought and detail about bump stops than anyone should put into the topic. But in the process, I did a detailed comparison between Timbren Active Off-Road Bump Stops and Sumo Springs.

I did a compression test on Timbren, Sumo and Stock bump stops and the data from that is attached.
The Sumo Spring has more material, and compresses more and so it's noticeably softer.
But neither is really a bump stop, they're both overload springs. Both will limit travel and have a harsh stop and stiff ride. But the Sump is betterall around.
If you need a bump stop that limits up travel because of longer shocks or bigger tires, these may be a good option. They also might be a good option if you want to add some load-carrying capacity without upgrading anything else.
If you want an upgraded bump stop for overlanding or off-roading, I wouldn't recommend either Timbren or Sumo.
