Remote start not working.

23 trd off road. 14k miles. Using factory fob no longer starts truck. It's always been tricky (really stupid) for me to actually get the 3 locks, 1 hold perfect enough to actually start. But now, it will not start. Have full warranty and will take to dealership, but hoping there is something stupid I could look at first? Any advice appreciated.

Could be a weak battery

Yup.. if you've had it a year and didn't renew your Toyota app subscription, your remote start stops working. Happened on my 21 as well and countless others. I never used it anyway because I hated how it shuts off when opening the door, but I don't like Toyota removing features just like that.

Thankfully there's finally a solution to both issues: https://www.n2designsinc.com/produc...ma-remote-start-push-to-start-w-key-take-over. I'll be adding it whenever I stop spending all my money on my Supra.

Yeah fucking crazy. I bought it used 07/24 so while I haven't had it a yr, maybe the 1 yr sub is up. I'm never paying for their stupid fucking app. This whole experience has completely killed the toyota brand to me. From top down I've had nothing but nightmare issues with this supposedly "bomb proof" brand/ platform.

I'll go to best buy and pay $240 for an actual remote start. I also hate how it shuts off when door opens or unlock was hit. It knows if the key is inside or not so don't give me "in case of theft" bs. Whole thing just fucking sucks I'm so pissed rn.

Sadly I'll need to keep it another year or two, but after that, never buying a Toyota again.
