Recently installed a faux TRD Pro grill from Cali Raised LED and an "OEM" sensor garnish from Ebay. I've seen many posts about TSS errors after installing an new grill and garnish. As I was installing the new grill my coworker stopped me from unplugging the sensor. He has 12 plus years of experience as an Automotive Technician and an Auto Body Repair Technician. His experience is that you never unplug these type of sensors. His experience is if these sensors are unplugged they need to be reprogrammed. There is plenty of room to remove the sensor from the grill and safely rest it on the radiator core support while installing the new grill. I followed his advise and have had zero issues so far. Some of you may have had no problems unplugging the sensor, but some have. Hopefully this is helpful.
