• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

I was going back and forth on wether or not to do my suspension install.
I've watched so many videos now I'm convinced it will be a fun project.
With a fair bit of cussing.

It’s not bad at all. Everything comes loose easily. If you get stuck, ask on here. There’s a bunch of people on here that have done it, some several times. Cough @UploadAdventure

Unless you’re working on it in gravel, I’ve done enough of that and I don’t want to anymore lol

Just installed some front rear shocks and leaf pack this week. First time, and was easier than I had imagined, though I did leave the UCA stock. I hear that’s a PITA. Figured, what the hell. 🤷‍♂️

Do it. It’s easy! Fronts are real easy. Just remove the 2 bolts on the bottom of the spindle, that helps a lot.

And for the rears, have some good jack stands and a nice jack. To give you some clearance. You can definitely knock it out in a day.

The UCA’s are bad. The long bolt is the worst, coming out. Going in you want to install the bolt the opposite way.
