• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Popped my tent on last night. Also added the bike attachments.

Today was a busy! Took the plastic thing off the front of the Taco, installed Meso Customs Ultimate Turn Signals, and added a black OEM exhaust tip. TRD pro grill came in the mail so I put the front camera on it but didn’t install it on the truck yet.

The pinstripes were installed a couple weeks ago off-roading near Cle Elum lake ?

I made a video about how to make a custom front badge but I'm waiting for permission from the guy who originally made the 3D printed mounting bracket before publishing it.

That's cool. I'm looking forward to checking that out. ?

Life has been NUTS lately.

got a new tent/awning installed, Installed a speedometer calibrator (MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE) Getting new wheels from @fifteen52 installed tomorrow, installed new fender flares.

All while working a stupid hectic schedule while they love to throw me on different shifts last minute!

all of yalls stuff is looking super clean.

Just put my Meso minimalist fob in to use. Installed my total chaos bed stiffeners. I picked up some KBVoodoo bed rails with tonneau cover brackets off of marketplace. Looking to how I can mount some xbull recovery boards in the bed. And next I will probably be getting a smitty built rtt.

I pulled off my rear bumper covers or caps that are chrome from the factory. I sanded them down with 400 grit and painted with primer and then painted with a black bed liner. They are drying now. Hoping to install later this week. Should look good with the black and the bed liner should hold up a lot better than plasti dip while off-roading.

Then greased all the bushings and added bicycle inner tube rubber to high friction areas...

IMG_20190716_112201.jpg

Then added an extra D29xl leaf to make my 7 leaf Dakar HD pack an 8 leaf extra HD pack.

IMG_20190716_114035.jpg

Then reassembled them with a new grade 8 center pin with an 8mm Allen key head.

Adding the leaf like this is supposedly an approved addition/modification from OME. Hopefully this will help with some of our sag on longer, loaded down trips.

Nice! I just did that with my Icon RXT springs. Little maintenance and they are good as new

Nice work. Did the same, had a hell of a time tracking down interleaf liners, and shims

Cut a hole in the fender to add a snorkel

I officially realize today I now need a snorkel. I removed my entire fender liner to make room for the rubber and now my airbox is super exposed. So dorkel it is. ????

IMG_20190716_173631.jpg
today I 3D printed a switch panel and put it in.

Impressive. ?

Today I did a number of things. Installed the new tires and had the alignment done again. Went with Toyo 315/70/17 MT's and immediately had rubbing everywhere. Haha

Then went home and immediately started cutting and banging.

Then installed the S2 Pro side floods, Squadron Pro ditch lights on @ragofabrications brackets, and an RTL-S chase light. All will be wired up tomorrow, but for now it's all show.

Pics tomorrow. ?
