• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

Not a tacoma nor is it my poor tundra
But today I'm lining my bosses sliders:sick:

@ExpeditionEssentials TPAM mount installed! Now I gotta decide what to do, I am leaning more towards a mini iPad for GAIA and an Inreach paired up

What mine didn't come with a flush mount? Looks great! I love mine......super stout......just a pain when you need to get back in the headunit to change anything!

I am really impressed with how sturdy it is! Yeah I think the flush mount is new for this year if I remember correctly.

Flush USB looks good! I ordered mine right before they updated it.... and I really want the flush ones... I'm trying to sell mine if anyone is interested! 😅

Wasn't sure if I should put this here or as a continuation of my intro thread, so I'll do both. I finally got my RLD Designs topper today, after an 8 month wait (thanks South African shipping company and COVID). I've only owned it for about 7 hours, but I'm digging it so far.

Installed a Pedal Commander. Big improvement but I want an OV tune. I also installed a new grill. I'm not a fan of chrome.

Painted my tow hook & rusty skid

IMG_0594.jpg

Love the color choice of the skid. What exactly is it? White, grey?

Also, just so everyone is aware. In regards to the factory hooks on the front of the truck, they are tie down points and not tow points. They are okay rated for tuning down the truck during transport. They are not rated for towing, pulling, dragging, or anything dynamic of that nature. The potential exits for the to fail of you decide to pull from them. So please, get a proper recovery point in the front if you intend to use it for recovery.

It's a super light gray.

But yes absolutely correct. I believe it's considered an "emergency" tow hook. Definitely shouldn't be used for anything other than towing slowly on flat ground, and only that if there's no other option.

Installed the new roof rack setup.

FrontRunner load bars on Vagabond Outdoors feet attached to the L-track atop the Drifter.
