• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

What have you done to, or with, your Tacoma today?

OEM Power tailgate lock installed. No idea why this isn’t standard on every Tacoma.

Installed the KB VooDoo hi-rise bars and yakima cargo basket over my BakFlip MX4 bed cover.

pretty excited how it turned out. There is plenty of room to slide the basket over a few inches to the right and install a bike mount to the left of the rack next to the basket.

now I can keep my important items dry and clean with the cover on while towing the trailer and the generator in the basket or other items that won’t fit the bed with the cover on

With all this time, I got around to installing the MESO Customs Puddle Pods with the switch, while relocating my ECT button to the shifter as well. This install took me quite some time over Friday afternoon and Saturday, as I expected for myself. Not sure how guys can get through installs so quickly.... anyways, they’re super bright and flood out my wife’s insignificant 4Runner puddle lights. ? the photo is in the garage after the sun has gone down.

I also took the time to print out all my invoices and put any manuals and extra paperwork behind each mod I’ve purchased. I’m sure this will come in handy for insurance purposes. I’m afraid to total the numbers... ?

I bought a cheap tablet holder so i can run a full screen gps. I can see miles of trails now. No more running into dead ends.

How do you like the bed step? I've been thinking about getting one.

came with the truck...
Used it 2 times in the last two years... handy, but dsnt get much use. Wife likes it and I suspect with the new bed set up it’ll be used a lot more

Yea they do... lol. I wasn't interested in buying them at first, then I saw how bright they were, and caught a small restock for MESO! Very content with purchase.

17” t4r wheels on with cooper stt pro 285/70/17. Stock suspension, but cmc and fender trimming took care of any rubbing.

I had 16x8 Ray10s on 4-5months ago and only slightly rubbed when off pavement.

I really want to go 315/70/17, but there’s mixed feelings on 315s + 7” wheel. @Malcolm what’s your take on this? I read a thread with you in it. I’d plan on running them at 30psi to wear decently

Installed some Redline Tuning hood struts! Turned out well, my favorite mods are installing things that should have came stock on Tacomas.

Note: My Rago ditch brackets and BD squadrons cleared fine, I was worried about that. But, the lower bracket did interfere with my relay holder but just moved one relay over for now and slightly bent the holder.
