• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Hey Guys and Gals, new to the forum. Just got out of an 18’ TRD OffRoad 2wd and into a 20’ TRD Offroad 4x4 M/T.

So far I’ve transferred everything off the 18’ and added a few new things to the 20’ hope yall enjoy.

I posted a thread under suspension already but figured I’d update it on the build thread too. Upgraded the suspension yesterday with a 2” Lift.

- Bilstein 5100 Fronts
- OME 887 Coils
- Bilstein 5100 Rears
- Icon Progressive AAL w/ Overload leaf.
- 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3’s

Also added onboard air. I went with an Instant Air Supply 10lb co2 Tank. Still waiting on the hardware to show up to mount it in the bed (Should be done this weekend) and will post pics when installed.

How’s the ride quality feel in your opinion with the 5100/887 setup ?
I’m ready to pull the trigger on the same setup until I read a gazillion mixed opinions on this setup 🤦🏼‍♂️ Would love some honest feedback on and off road !

I haven't had any issues, rides like it did stock. Just 2” higher. The rear leafs squeak like no other though Lol. I would recomend it for a good lift on a budget.

Found a used set of VTX Viper SL wheels in 16x8 -12. They finally gave me the look I’ve wanted for the truck.
