• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

I have had a small 220v Hobart (don’t remember the model number) for 16 years now. It has never given me any problems. I use mine about like what you’re talking about. I have built a few truck bed racks with it to replacement floor boards for my ol’ bronco. I only know about my Hobart and wouldn’t hesitate buying another one if I had to.

I literally just purchased a Hobart Handler 210mvp, Chose that one over the Handler 190 because of the fact that I can take it anywhere and not worry about a 220 being a problem.

You could check out Everlast welders. I don't MIG much - but I have one of their 220TIG machines and I love it. They have some really sweet multiprocess stuff. Not totally sure what the budget is.

Meant to leave my two cents but others had it handled lol. I’m a Lincoln/ Miller guy. I love my Lincoln handy mig. Does everything I need it to.

Although I am still new at welding. Have a lot to learn and I’m looking forward to.

Which Lincoln do you have? I like Miller myself.

Mines a Handy mig. It’s being used as a flux core now cause I haven’t picked up a bottle yet to mig.

You just can’t go wrong with a Miller or Lincoln. There is obviously newer names out there that are pretty good too, just no experience with them.
