• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

I was sick of driving around on MT's year around. I originally got Super Swampers TRUXS in 255/85/16 with 15k on them. Great on the trail with no lift, no rub. In the rain, they have more sipping they said... they were worse than BF MT's with no sipping. Sooo been wanting some AT's for commuting, skiing etc. I was kinda of looking for an excuse to dive into a CMC so I got 34/10.5/17 BF AT's and some new 17" x 8.5" no offset wheels.

For your reference pleasure

1st tire pic is 255/85/16 TRUXS next to same size BF MT. 2nd pic is 255/85/16 BF next to 34/10.5/17 BF AT

Tire profile pics; 1st is the TRXUS with 1" spacer. 2nd is the 34/10.517 no spacer.

I understand why the Swampers cleared so well, they are small! I forgot to take a pic flexing the 17's on the rockery, but I'd could prob grind the last outside inch on my cab mount and be good.

Wheel on.
