Basics:
  • 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road Double Cab Long Bed (6 ft.) with 3.5 Liter V6 6-Speed Automatic Transmission and 4WDemand
  • Exterior Color: Quicksand Interior Color: Graphite with Gunmetal (cloth)
  • Premium and Technology Package including JBL Audio
  • V6 Tow Package
  • All-Weather Floor Liners/Door Sill
  • Mileage: 68,700
  • Original owner; Title in hand
  • Asking Price: $42,000 OBO for the truck and whatever is bolted to it (see modifications list below photo gallery).
  • Service: An extensive service history and receipts folder almost 2” thick will go to the new owner. The truck has been regularly serviced by a trusted Toyota Master Tech and trusted shops at early service intervals. The vehicle has been well cared for inside and out and while it has most certainly been used to travel in, it has never been abused (nor jumped) and was always thoroughly cleaned and maintained after each trip and on a regular basis. The truck does, as expected, have its share of pinstriping and minor dents/paint chips.
  • Why we are selling: We originally had no intention of selling the truck, hence why we spared no expense building this ultimate travel rig, but we really enjoyed the process and are wanting to do another build more suited to our growing travel wants and needs.
  • Serious prospective buyers are encouraged to message directly to discuss further.

This hurts my heart. I love my Tacoma- I couldn’t imagine getting rid of it after all you‘ve done to yours. Beauty to say the least!! Good luck with the sale and future endeavors!!

Thank you. It was a very tough decision, and one we didn't take lightly because we love the truck and are actually pretty sad about the sale. My wife doesn't even want to discuss the fact that it will be leaving at some point.

Damn, definitely did not see that coming!

I’m betting on a RAM build next. They seem to be the Tacoma “upgrade” and I want to move to a RAM eventually as well.

Good luck with sale

Best of luck to you all. You have been a great help to a bunch of new taco owners, and will be missed.

Hey thanks man. I appreciate the compliment. I'll likely still be around. I still love Tacomas and don't mind sharing what I've learned to help people out. You got to share that info!! No point keeping it all to yourself!! 😁🤙

Whatcha moving to next? Prospector XL?

We are still researching and have not decided on any one thing yet. We have a few options we are considering, but nothing set in stone. So far no one has guessed the frontrunner.

Our lips are sealed until we have the keys. 😉

Old school Defender

Old school Land Cruiser

Any imported diesel 4x4

😬

I will say I am enjoying the options that people think we would go for. A lot of really good vehicles have been suggested and it's flattering to know that others think we have that taste that good. 😁

I think I figured it out. It’s gonna be a Ford Revcon.

To be completely honest I would love to have a revcon. My guess is a Delica Star Wagon

Those are rad as well. Apparently they have some new legality issues here in the states. Something that makes them impossible to register.

I’m going with a Sunrader? (Sorry about spamming your thread. The guessing is fun.)

I dig those. Saw the one I would have gotten a few years ago at expo. Fully refurbished, solid axle, turbo motor and a five speed.

I’m surprised nobody has Guessed tundra. I got rid of my ram for the Tacoma after 2 of my coworkers had the engine blow with less than 80k miles on them. I didn’t want to risk it(they were both the 5.7 hemi.) Not sure about the 6.4 reputation. Whatever you chose to build we all know will be sick. And GLWS.

Tundra is definitely an option. We're still waiting to see what actually ends up confirmed for the next Tundra and not just speculation.

damn man sad to hear it but a new chapter starts when one ends! I am honored that I got to see it in person! Will you still be doing OVTune support?

I will be. I don't plan to stop that anyone soon. So I will continue to support my previous and future customers as best I can.

You were my mentor truck overland Tacoma when I first purchased my 2020 Toyota Tacaoma DCLB. I have almost replicated your first configuration (and still working on it) with your Leer cap and windoors and such. Won't go all the way, though (no roof top tent). I still have a picture and YouTube of it saved for reference.

But... Then you threw me for a loop and went out and did the serious upgrading on your Tacoma, something I can't match financially as of yet. Good luck with wherever your path takes you, and keep that mustache in great shape (I have one too!)...

Cheers!.

Thank you for the incredible compliments! I am absolutely floored by the kind words and it means the world to me. I'm glad I was able to inspire you into creating your own dream truck. We absolutely love the first iteration of our truck. It was incredibly clean and practical and I hope to do the same for others with the next build 😉
