• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Things that go bang, or stabby stab. I've always been into guns. My dad was in the Army, my step dad was a country boy. I grew up in a small town, where hunting was a way of life. We leased 800 acres across from our house growing up. My first firearm was given to me by my uncle. Daisy 2202 Bolt Action .22 . By far one of my favorite most prized possessions. Most recently (after leaving the Army), I purchased a AR. Then I got into pistols. My first pistol, Walther PK380. Purchased so my wife could comfortably action the slide and fire, should she ever need to. After a couple years noticing my wife doesn't really like guns, I bought my first Glock. Being a smaller framed guy, I hated Glock. But then the 42/43 came out. Shortly after the 43x came out. I had to get one of those. It was honestly perfect for me. I got small hands (I wear x-small Mechanix gloves  ). Started with a few simple upgrades. Vickers flat shoe, HYVE mag release, S15 mag (15 round). A few months ago at the gun shop they had their Poly80 on clearance. Grabbed a 19, version to start building. A couple weeks later, I realized that the GlockStore had a 43 sized P80, so ordered one of those to build. About a month after, realized I could purchase one more Glock under the blue label program as a veteran, so back to my favorite store to purchase a 48. I'll throw some pics up, I'd love to hear everyones story!

Here's my EDC setup, I change the blade quite often. I'm a fan of the cheap Kershaw blades, this blade shown is no longer in rotation. Also pictured is my wifes car key, I didn't have the Taco during this time. Glock 43X, Shield S15 Mag, Desantis Slim-Tuk, cheap slim wallet, Kershaw Ember, Catalyst Apple Watch case (I have a charcoal version as well).

GS SS80, shown with my 48 slide (thus making a 43L). I have since finished this pistol. Vickers Mag release, Amend2 mag (OEM glock LPK from my 48) Eventually I'll upgrade all my 48 parts.

My intentions with the 48 is to send my frame to a friend for stipling work, then use that frame on my 43x, while it goes for the same treatment. I'll upload more pics of other stuff here shortly.

I may have a problem...

I had the Shield, did stuff to it. But it was very narrow. P938, but that was small. G43 and did stuff to that. I was happy.
Then the P365 came out and I haven't gotten around to it. Even if I got it through a LE dealer, it would still end up being a $1500 pistol.

If you want to get into big boy blades, shoot me a message. But be warned, it could ruin your life.

Those Glock slides are tough. Had a Glock 19 wanted front serrations......local machinist broke 2 bits trying to do it......

It was engraved. So now I gotta find a way to get that off. Lol.
I mean for that price, you could just buy a brownells slide and have a clean pistol. Awesome find though! What's the engraving look like? If it's not too deep, you could get it engraved over

I always send out for slide milling. I prefer Dynamic Weapon Solutions. Have also considered JagerWerks.

For what it is, I'd want to keep it with the OEM slide. Engravings look like ass. Think my friend might be able to help get it engraved over. I do have a Brownell's slide for my Gen3 and tolerances are trash.

My 19, doing hot boi summer things.

This is my baby. Home defense only. SIG P229. Factory night sights, nothing else. Came with three barrels, 9mm, .40SW, and .357. I keep it chambered in .40.

I've also owned a G23 blue label, Savage 111 .30-06, and a Remington m887. Sold those years ago when starting my family.

I've also got a non-functional, highly modified Mossberg 151m that I inherited from my grandfather when he passed. It's a dream one day to get it fixed and use it for plinking.

Sold my AR last week to a guy at work. Debating on what to get and build. I really enjoy .22, I’m leaning towards 10/22. But I’d also love to have a Henry Golden Boy. Been carrying my 48 a lot recently to get used to the longer barrel length. Waiting on some parts for my P80 19. I also have this Mossberg 715T that is my plinking gun. It’s pretty fun. And fairly accurate.
