• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Does your truck do work? Let's see it.

If you actually use your bed for what it was meant for, let's see your load! :poop:

I'm pretty happy with my Dakar HD leaf springs not sagging too much while having these heavy ass boxes of armored glass windows loaded. Especially since they were loaded in the rear of the bed.

Primary uses for my bed are hauling my big doggos (115lb German Shepherd and a 85lb Husky/St Bernard mix ), transporting my guns and ammo to and from the desert when I go shooting, and serving as a spot for my recovery gear that I keep with me for simple convenience when responding to a recovery request (y)

The rigged up cooler you see in the final photo is a battery-bank powered, fan driven portable air conditioner of sorts that I fabbed up for the dogs for situations where it's not feasible to leave those windows open but cool air flow back there is still desired.

That's a serious cooler!

Posted in my intro thread but here is a pic from a duck hunt this past January.

Ended up with our limit so overall a great trip.

Montana elk hunt last fall with one other guy. Yeah we're slightly over gvw here, the truck did great considering. Dakar HD's are on the to-do list before my two elk hunts this year.

Pulls my boat fine. Doesn’t look big but even my 1500 silverado I traded for the taco had issues pulling it on the highway. Constant up and down shifting, lugging, ugh. PITA. I’m the taco I just hit the ect button and hit the road.

Also throw my 600-700ish pound 400 4x4 bayou in the bed every now and then, doesn’t sag but a 1/2 in or. Pretty sure it’s the biggest four wheeler out there (that I’ve seen)
