How do you like the magpul hunter 700? I have a Remington 700 vtr .308 that I am considering that kit for. I already have a dbm coversion on it. Is that set up much heavier than factory set up?

This is actually a killer Innovation’s Orias chassis and it is very high quality.

It is? Are you talking about the first pic? The picture has magpul hunter hashtags. Looks just like the hunter 700. I’ll have to look into the Orias chassis though.

Oh balls, I didn’t even read who you quoted :ROFLMAO: You quoted OutKast. I am sorry. I was commenting on mine that I just posted.

Shit, I haven't checked on this thread in a minute, sorry about that. Yes, I love the Hunter 700 but it does have some weight to it. How much heavier it is than your factory stock, obviously depends on which factory stock you had to begin with. The difference is pretty noticeable on guns that came with light shitty plastic stocks, but insignificant on rifles that came with the rubberized Hogue stocks or some of the other heavier factory laminate stocks to begin with. It's a lot lighter than most full chassis, though. It's a good compromise for a rifle that sees use as both a hunting and precision rig.

No worries, it’s all good. Mine came with the green synthetic stock with the black accents. I except it to be a bit heavier and I’m good with that. Just curious if you happened to have any numbers. I recently finished building a 6.5 bench rifle so I feel like building my .308 would make me less likely to play with that too. Gun mods are harder to decide on than truck mods...

According to Magpul it weighs 3 pounds without action screws, bottom metal, magazines, etc. so total system weight with the DBM should definitely be under 3-1/2 pounds.

Anyone have an opinion on a Ruger LCP II or S&W Body Guard? Thinking bout getting one for concealed carry for summer timw

My honest opinion......don’t like them. Go with a G43 or a shield. That’s just my $.02

I have a shield 9, I need something for summer carry and I always tuck my shirt in so the shield doesn't sit well

Any reason behind this?
Man they’re just too small to get a proper grip to accurately shoot them. The ruger’s trigger is aweful. Look into something like a smith &wesson M&Pc or Glock 48 or Glock 43X and run the with an appendix carry holster

I have an M&P Shield 9 that I love but idk how it'll conceal under a t shirt.

I appendix carry my G43 in a G-code incog holster and it disappears. Very comfortable holster - Kydex with suede outer lining. Highly recommend checking them out as well as TierOneConcealed & T-Rex Arms.
