Fitting 37” tires on a 3rd Gen Tacoma (with photos)

What did you use to coat the inside of the wheel well? It looks super smooth. I’ve been looking for something like that.
Not my pictures. They've been saved to my phone for ages so I don't even remember who they were from.
 
The dash says 10-13 mpg depending on the conditions. It's not calibrated so I'm not sure what that actually translates to.
Gears really must help out then, Im on 35s and have much smaller camper and im getting around 9-10 mpg, heres a picture for reference.

My truck, despite the weight, doesn't feel sluggish to me. And I've still seen it go about 96/97 mph if I'm driving downwind.

Are you getting 9-10 actual mpg or are you just going off what the dash says like I did?
 
Also, these are some very rough actual numbers so take it for what it's worth:

2017's fuel capacity is 21.1 gal. On a fill up, with topping off, I can go about 230 miles at ~80 mph which ends up roughly 2500-3500 rpm for most of it. The 230 miles = I'm probably limping into the gas station expecting to run out of gas (somehow I never have though).

That math is comes out to about 10/11 mpg. But there's so many variables involved, who knows.

thats going off the dash, Ive found that I can go about 220ish miles going 75mph and end up with about 1/8th of a tank which is usually when Ill stop for gas, never like to get too low lol.

I’m not sure about the speedometer error part. On the open parts of the interstate I’ll cruise at 75-80 on the dash. But there’s no way I’m pushing 100 like that. Maybe 94ish?
 
I bet this is the cheapest way to run 37s reliable and run trail like the Rubicon in an IFS truck. And I've been on the Rubicon in a long travel Tacoma on 37s. It struggled.

Not sure what you did. But this guy had a total chaos kit and a stock steering rack and cut out fenders. It was cool, but it got bellied out a lot and there were some tense moments with the steering.

That said, it was pretty bad ass on the last 6 miles with kings and a super charger!

I visited trail-gear last week and theyre gonna be developing a 3rd gen steering upgrade for us that run larger tires! Steering rack, tie-rods, pump, etc. its gonna be a sweet kit!

They make a great kit, but damn its expensive... I'll wait till Trail-gear's kit comes out which will be closer to the $800 mark similar to their 3.4L Tacoma power steering kit
What tub work to your fender have you done yet for the 38's? Those look freaking beefy man

Have you seen this Toyota Tacoma Inner Fender Replacements (https://jdfabrication.com/collections/gen-3-tacoma-16-6-lug/products/tacoma-inner-fender-replacements)

JD is pricy but man they make great products IMO

I read some reviews on the Trail Gear and decided to go with JD after getting feedback from others, I do have Trail Gears duel transfer waiting to be installed

Yeah i follow the JD fab stuff closely, im just gonna weld and tub my own fenders for the 37's i have on order though instead of that kit. Great kit, but if I keep throwing 2K in parts every week my wallet is gonna shoot me

I was just out wheeling with All Pro's 2nd Gen on 37's with their dual transfer case and your gonna loovvveeee it...it crawls up everything!
 
Look at all this sweet clearance I gained by ripping my fender flares off and bending in the fenders. The flares may have ripped themselves off and I may have bent the fenders in with my hands in the middle of the woods, but it works!
