Hey All,

Hope you had a great 4th. Ive been calling around to local shops to do a cab mount relocate and everyone is booked until at least September. Woulld anyone be interested in doing a relocation before then? Or does anyone know pos anyone that would. Thanks much.

Who have you contacted already? And I’m not trying to be rude and try to sway you away from your decision to relocate, but are you sure you need to relocate? Would an aggressive cab mount chop not suffice? I’ve seen and heard multiple stories of people having issues after relocating which is why I ask

No worries man. Not rude at all. I appreciate the reply.

I contacted Elias 4x4 center, Central Mass Offroad and I managed to make an appointment with Offroad elements but not until October. Which, if I can get in someplace earlier I want to.

As for the relocation, I will eventually put on 35"s and just assumed a relocate was my best bet but I'm not opposed to doing an aggressive chop if that will work.

What kind of issues have you heard of with a relocate?

If you max your caster and do a good chop I think you’ll be okay. Depends on your wheel offset as well though. I hope you’re okay with the amount of trimming involved with 35’s lol. I have what’s considered a 34” right now and had to do a little trimming but nothing to bad. The biggest issue I’ve seen with relocating the body mount is the welds literally ripping off the frame. I wish I had the pictures to show. Now granted there’s a good chance this is from just shitty welds. There’s definitely plenty of folks running these kits with no issues so I’m not trying to scare you off. I personally believe the stock body mount to be stronger and safer though which is why I personally would not get it done. Just make sure the shop is competent and has done them before. Another shop to check out is main line overland. They’re up in New Hampshire. Hope they can help you earlier

spot on. I have seem a few hack jobs out there as well. ask to see a video of work done. most good mechanics will show you footage ...

Awesome thank you. Ill give Main Line Overland a call tomorrow. I appreciate it gents.

I went as aggressive as I could with my CMC and running a 34" Patagonia on Raceline wheels 17x8.5 "0" offset. They rub in the front under a compression on occasion.
