Title says it, I'm looking for new YouTube channels to subscribe to. I'm probably subbed to most of you already but thought I'd post in case I'm not.

As someone who creates videos as a hobby, I really enjoy seeing other people's content as well and want to support smaller channels.

Drop your channel link and I'll sub!

Here’s mine if you want to check it out installs/vlogs/reviews/ and offroad trips :) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9J06lBlClVSP2tdx2GB-ZA

So, its strange talking to nobody when you are making a video. There are a few things that I ended up leaving out unintentionally, but after I get used to using my Osmo Mobile, I will make another more detailed video.
So, heres the link to my awkward first youtube video.

Agreed. My most recent video was my second attempt at a walk-around. I find if I'm in town I talk quieter because I'm paranoid about people walking by as I talk to myself. That's why I went way out in my friends back field...but then I got wind issues.

I get that for sure. I was trying to hurry up so my GF didnt come out into the garage and find me filming that vid and then ask me what the hell I was doing. That is one of the reasons I left a couple of things out. Ill have to do another video one day when shes out shopping with her daughter or something. LOL.

It is SO weird. And I have a lot of experience speaking to/leading large groups from when I was in the military. But that doesn’t carry over to the camera at all.

@XxMagpulxX, the first few minutes of the first video I made are me giving a disclaimer for exactly this:

Gonna watch your video in a few minutes with my morning caffeine consumption.

For sure super weird. You definitely get more comfortable as you make more videos though.

Watching back my old videos i can totally tell that I have a more confident tone in my voice. My dad watches the videos too & said my last video I sounded more into it.

I also live in a busy neighborhood with close houses & people always walking by so it can be a little awkward filming lol

You are well spoken for it being a first.

Some tips, mostly from what people have recently told me:

- The filming was great. Nice and steady and focused on the components you’re talking about.

- Your video is different than mine because you are behind the camera and filming it in one shot. So I don’t know if this would apply as much to you. But I learned to cut out whenever I take a pause from talking because I’m trying to think of what to say. To keep the pace of the video up. And if something was said in a confusing way or with low confidence because I confused myself, I would refilm that line to clean it up. Again, this isn’t really for this video of yours, but something for the future.

- Take notes before you film so you don’t forget shit. Even through the week leading up to the video, jot stuff down. My notes helped so much because I get so many ideas that I can never remember.

- If you want this video to be seen by random people on YouTube, create a nice looking thumbnail for it. But if this video was mostly for us/a trial video, disregard.

I love the electrical mods on your truck. You seem to really know what you’re doing. Most of us dread electrical.

Second this. Electrical work scares me haha

One nice thing of being behind the camera is that you can re-record the audio and put it over the video if you want.
The first few videos of mine I did the recording and then recorded a voice over in post. It's easy to clean up the "ums" and awkward pauses.

This!

I haven't tried it yet, but I see TrailRecon doing it all the time, and it works really well. It lets you say EXACTLY what you want to say because you have more time to think.

Thanks! I bought a DJI Osmo Mobile a few weeks ago and was just looking for an excuse to use it. Thats why the video is so steady.
I just shot that as a quick walk around, so thats why I was behind the camera the whole time. Like I said, I was trying to get it done before my GF came into the garage
and asked what I was doing and who I was talking to. LOL.
I like the note taking idea. I will use that for sure next time. I have to do another anyway due to the things I left out, like where I mounted the switches for the Trigger Six Shooter.
Electrical is really simple, you just have to make sure you aren't hooked up to the battery until you are done. Red is hot, black is ground. That is 95 percent of wiring.
If any of you needs help or has questions about it, let me know. If I can help, I will.

Electrical I find simple, but yes, quite a few people have issues.

As I once heard someone say: "I know how electricity works. Those wires carry smoke through them and sometimes I poke a hole in them and let the smoke out!"

We have a handful of members making YouTube content so I think it would be cool if we put all of our channel links in a nice little directory. I encourage subscribing to fellow T3G members as it will give a sense of being real life friends with each other despite potentially never getting to meet in person. 💘

Game on! Good job man. Thanks for doing this. I get mine up and running once I have my truck.

For sure. We’ve needed something like this but I never thought to do it.

I’m trying to think if there would be a video you could make that none of us can because your truck is brand new with no miles on it. But there might not be just based off of it being brand new.

That's a great idea. Maybe we can solicit some ideas from fellow members?
