• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Thought it would be a good idea for a thread with links to 3D Printed shwag for the Tacos. Here are a couple items I have purchased that have come in handy.

Tacoma Phone Mount: Great phone mount. I put a small piece of 3m two sided tape on the angled section to keep the mount from sliding around:

Great functional mount with excellent sight line.

Driver side pocket panels:

I have gone through three of these (had a hard time making up my mind) from Shapeways:

Redarc and blank (with drill indents on back):

redark with blank.jpg

Redarc w/ 2 switch spots:

Redarc/Switch/Blank (this is what I am running right now)

I'm back to the original nob for the subwoofer.

Here is a complete listing for Tacoma stuff on Shapeways. Some really good stuff here, including switch panels for the overhead spot.

What do you have that is 3D printed?

Honestly I can't remember exactly where I ordered this switch mount thing from but I'm quite sure it was shapeways. Anyway, it's a small thing but it's useful for sure, and combined with the ch4x4 switches it helps maintain a more subtle factory appearance. Sits in the same spot as what you've got pictured

3D printing is still kind of fascinating to me. I don't have anything yet though.

yea it's cool tech. I wish i had all the fancy machines from printers to plasma cutters and especially a lift.

I like it a lot. Check out my build thread, there's a long in depth post about towing.

post up more pictures
I haven't ordered a set from their professional grade printers only the Wanhao Duplicator i3 printer.

Edit: If you'd like some closer shots of them I can get them after work today but this is what they look like I printed a set for me and @JusCampin and these are images of them installed in his rig.

Do they feel any different. I rarely touch the thing at all because I run everything off of my phone and the steering wheel so I’m not sure if it would be feasible

They are plastic with more of a rough finish and extend a bit further than the OEM knobs. So it makes it easier to use them. I also run most off of the steering wheel but i still use the volume on the dial as it is easier to make larger adjustments.

I got the same one from shapeways! very nice product.

I also made some "grommets" for the ME-SO mirror lights I made. I made them on Fusion 360 and submitted them to an online printing service and they showed up a few days later. They are very small but they work really well and provide a finished look.

I really want to get more into 3D printing but that is one expensive rabbit hole unless I'm selling parts or something.

Anyone have the file for the brake light? Not necessarily the MESO light, but just the general file that can be tweaked a tad?

I've never seen one. Get or make a 3D scanner or just scan it for shape and backwards engineer it. That's what I usually end up doing.
