Teamed up with Toro Offroad to offer y’all a special code for 10% off their RTT
Code is OVERLAND2020 this gets you 10% off
Your total will be 3k. Out the door. Shipped. With an awning and annex. This is one hell of a deal. I’m actually meeting with the guys next week and will provide my own pictures and review of the tent then. In the mean time, they have delivered product and have gotten no negative feedback since joining the RTT scene.
Check it out here —> https://torro-offroad.com/products/skylux-rooftop-tent

You can sleep 4 people comfortably in a tent designed to hold up to 900 lbs. Even if you're 7 ft tall you'll have 3+ inches of extra mattress space available at length.

The large quilted high density foam mattress will lull you into the best sleep you've ever had under the stars. Its 2" thick because that's all it needs to recover quickly and support your weight properly. Some mattresses are thick but not high density which means you might still feel the bottom/tent floor when you lay or sit on it - thats not the case here.

SkyLux Tents are rated for near-gale force winds (35+ mph), so you have the comfort of knowing you're safe even when the weather starts to make you doubt it. You'll also be provided aluminum stents that slip over the strusts to help prevent the hard shell from closing, in the event of winds greater than 35 - 40 MPH.

Our upgraded Aluminum Telescoping Ladder features quick release latches and can itself hold up to 300 lbs. The ladder is 8.5 ft. tall when fully extended. Unlike other RTT brands, with SkyLux there's no need to purchase a ladder extension. You only have one set of latches to extend or retract the ladder which makes setup and take down so much easier. This is a feature you'll only see on the SkyLux RTT.

Can’t wait for this thing to be delivered. Hey buddy when you meet up with them next week you mind asking them if the RTT will be able to be locked while closed? I didn’t notice any lockable latches on the sides of the RTT. Besides that everything is pretty much covered in their YouTube videos.

Wow, that is a lot for a tent, but the discount is decent. Congrats on the new tent. Let us know what your impressions of it are.

Thank you! Torro is including insulation, awning and annex room with the RTT.

That’s really what won me over with this deal. I loved the Smittybilt you recommended, I think it’s the best RTT for the price. I was just really worried about how I would feel about that sailboat feel and didn’t want to worry about upgrading down the line. The iKampers are a bit lighter but not light enough for me to pay an extra $1500+ for the whole kit.

I agree about this vs. the other two. Hard tents are where it’s at now, and this deal is clearly better than the iKamper deal. I wouldn’t buy a soft cover tent if I ever got another RTT.

First camping trip is Alabama Hills March 6th, I’ll definitely post pictures and videos on here and let you know how I like it! I was going to get a upTOP TRUSS rack system but I spoke with one of the Taco Twonz bros and they told me they’re actually working on a new TRUSS rack system that will allow tonneau covers so I’m just waiting on that. If they’re not ready in time then I plan on getting the same voodoo fab bars you were rocking with the Smittybilt.

I still have those bars for sale (sold my tent without the bars). You can buy them if you want, but: 1) their powder coating is chipped in spots and 2) I’m not sure how bad the shipping cost would be.

Oh sweet! I live in West Covina, CA so not sure if you know how much that would be off the top of your head? The chipped powder coating doesn’t bother me since I really only need them for one trip and then I was going to sell them on here once the TRUSS system was updated.

I’m in NY right now. My guess would be $50-80 in shipping, and I think they are $100 brand new.

I can check USPS tomorrow for an actual price, but I don’t know if it would be worth it for either of us because of how far apart we are. I would sell them to you very cheap to make it work I suppose.

No worries if you would prefer to just buy them new or something else.

Yeah I’m thinking you might be right about us being too far apart. I was able to get a discount code for voodoo so I’m thinking it might be best to order from them but thank you man I really appreciate the offer.
