• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Looking at getting some lights bars for the Taco, what brands/companies do y’all have and recommend? Thank you in advance!

If you can afford it, Baja Designs or Rigid Industries are usually the go-to. KC Hilities are my personal favorite for their oldschoolness. These are all expensive though, and you can get cheaper knock-off ones on Amazon.

Where are you mounting them?

We are strong supporters on running Baja Designs! American made here locally in Southern California and their customer service, along with the product is second to none.

Feel free to PM us with any lighting recommendations and locations! We can get you setup (y)

I am running some Cali Raised now but I am looking to change over my ditch lights and get a bar for a Prinsu roof rack from Heretic Studio. I have heard great things about their light bars. They run at a higher amp and volt pull though so you need to be aware of that. For the bumper I am installing because I know its going to get beat up I am just putting in a Rough Country bar and some Rigid Fogs.

Rigid all the way. Service is second to none.

Diode Dynamics is my 100% vote, not the cheapest but also not the most expensive and their customer service is some of the best! Anything fails or breaks they will be more then happy to replace it

Baja Design is what I recommend. They are bright and never had any issues with the lights and also I like how I can change the lens style and color on them.

Baja is the most popular and most coveted, and has the best reputation for quality. Nevertheless, I am going with Spartan X Customs when I'm ready to pull the trigger on lighting.

A lot of baja recommendations around, are they really worth the money vs other brands?

Yes they are, to some a "lumen rating" is all that matters. Although a factor, BD's quality and design of a product is second to none. Their distance and width output is truly a winner.

I'd greatly invite you to shoot me a dm! I do offer forum special pricing as a stocking inventory master distributor for Baja Designs. Definitely more than willing to chat in regard to a lighting package for you and your use :)
