• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

As per trails we embark on. I believe we should collaboratively create trail reviews for other members to possibly go on as well. lets start with simple needs.

- Location of trail.
- State whether 4x4 is required to do the trail.
- Difficulty rating Easy, Moderate, Hard (use your best judgement)
- If any items would possibly be needed. (depending on road conditions)
- Your personal overall view of this particular trail.
- POST PICTURES OF CONDITIONS TO WARN OTHERS if necessary.

REMEMBER IF YOU ARE GOING TO ISOLATED AREAS WITHOUT CELL PHONE SERVICE, HAVE RECOVERY TOOLS I.E. MAXTRACS, SHOVELS,& JACKS.
(if you get stuck)

- Always have a map of the area you are in.
- Carry a GPS watch
- Never wheel alone. at least one other vehicle with you.
- Carry 5 gallons of water per person.
- Pack plenty of food that won't go bad right away.
- Tell someone your plan. and if you don't get in contact with them at a certain time. have them contact authorities and let them know of your last known location. ( 8-10
digit grids help a lot)

I know there's quite a bit i missed but I will edit and add more to this post. suggestions are welcome. - Catfish

This is a good idea. I think in the beginning though, this can be done within the regional forums. Once we start getting a lot of these, we can definitely devote a whole forum to it.

I agree. either directly under the regional sections, or a subforum within. Then it'll be a good way for folks to get straight to the trails that are local to them. Is there a way that you can post to 2 separate forums at the same time? That would be a cool feature, that way if you post under the regional trails, it automatically echoes in this forum. Boom. 2 birds, 1 cup, er, stone. :D

that could be a possibility, but copy and paste works just as well.

I don’t think you can crosspost like that. What if, in the regional sections, there were thread prefixes like “trail review”, “upcoming trail ride”, “need help”, etc.

Ya that would work too. Wasn’t sure if forums had that capability. ?

@Audidood are you out here in Vegas bro? I swear I thought I saw a post of your truck with the strip in the background! Can't remember.

Haha no i’m in the Bay Area but i drove out there last Christmas. That’s when i took that shot ?

Gotcha. I don't think it's gonna happen this summer but if it does my family and couple friends may be planning a trip up the coast all the way to Seattle. It'll be a mix of camping and hotels. If it does, maybe plan a meet up. We shall see....
